Passport applications to move online from 1 October

Passport applications will move to an online, appointment‑based system starting 1 October. Walk‑in appointments will no longer be accepted at passport offices.

The new system will let applicants select the passport office location, date and time that is convenient for them. The official platform is pp.gpf.gov.gy. Processing time has been reduced by three working days, and an expedited service can deliver a passport within 24 hours.

Stephen Telford said all passport applicants will be required to make an online appointment before visiting a passport office. The deputy commissioner warned that fake websites exist and may be used to mislead applicants.

Passport offices have introduced an at‑home service for the elderly and people who are differently abled.
