The Ministry of Housing is piloting a foundation programme in Lenora and Meten‑Meer‑Zorg.
Minister Collin Croal said the initiative is designed to address one of the major challenges faced by beneficiaries. He explained the initiative will meet the upfront cost of preparing a foundation. He described the process as a hybrid process where prefabricated houses are placed on a prepared foundation.
The government’s housing programme aims to build 40,000 houses. Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali is President of Guyana. Collin Croal is Minister of Housing.
