Guyana Power and Light (GPL) said a system disturbance caused a power outage on the Demerara-Berbice network.
GPL said customers across Demerara and Berbice are experiencing a service interruption due to the disturbance. The company said its technical teams are working to restore electricity supply to all affected customers as quickly and safely as possible. GPL apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
GPL did not state when service would be fully restored.
