The Team Mohamed Facebook page disappeared from the platform. The page had more than 500,000 followers. Eusi Anderson wrote a letter dated 4 September to Police Commissioner Clifton Hicken saying that as of 5:00 p.m. on 4 September the Team Mohamed page could no longer be found on Facebook.
Mohamed was arrested on 3 September together with Eugene Thorne, Mario Mohamed and Dwayne Ross. His arrest was linked to an investigation into alleged unauthorised and/or suspected drone activity. He and the three others were released on their own recognisance. Mohamed’s cellular devices were taken into police custody after his arrest.
Mohamed confirmed that he had gone to Leonora to make enquiries. The one‑acre plot of land at Leonora is valued at approximately $200 million. The property was reportedly purchased through the shell company Sea Spray Holdings Inc. by one of President Irfaan Ali’s attorneys on the President’s behalf. Azruddin Mohamed told reporters that a video about alleged corruption linked to the $200 million land deal at Leonora would be released shortly.
Siand Dhurjon, Mohamed’s co‑defence attorney, told the court that Mohamed went to an area after receiving information about a one‑acre plot of land at Leonora.
Anderson said the page was primarily accessed by Mohamed through his mobile device, which remains in police custody. Anderson stated that Mohamed did not log into any device to alter, impair or delete the page. Anderson said the seized devices contain sensitive and confidential information, including documentary and video evidence of alleged corruption and fraud involving public individuals. Anderson demanded the return of two cellular phones – a Samsung Galaxy S26 and an iPhone 16 Pro Max – and two motor vehicles – a Toyota Land Cruiser (registration PAD 4000) and a Toyota Allion (registration PXX 5300) – which remain in police custody.
Hana Mohamed questioned the timing of the Facebook page’s disappearance. She said it was peculiar and highly coincidental that within 24 hours of the Leader of the Opposition’s devices being taken into police custody, the Team Mohamed Facebook page was removed from public access.
