Prime Minister Phillips inspected progress on the Gas‑to‑Energy Project today. During the inspection the delegation observed progress on gas turbines, the steam turbine, storage tanks, foundations, piping, other supporting systems and works on the substation.
Prime Minister Phillips noted that his last inspection was in June. The first gas turbine is scheduled to come online by the end of 2026 and will deliver approximately 57 megawatts of electricity to the national grid.

Bobby Gossai Jr is Senior Petroleum Coordinator at the Ministry of Natural Resources. Kesh Nandlall is Head of Guyana Power and Light Inc.’s Executive Management Committee.
